Rear Differential Rubber Cushion Bush

This rubber mounting cushion supports the rear differential and isolates it from the body/frame. It is needed to keep drivetrain movement controlled while cutting vibration and noise you feel in the cabin . When the differential loads up under acceleration or engine braking, this part helps hold the unit in the correct position and keeps the driveline angles stable.

How It Works

The bush uses a durable rubber core bonded to a rigid sleeve. The rubber flexes slightly to absorb shock, while the sleeve keeps the differential mount tight and aligned. This balance reduces harshness without letting the differential “walk” during hard launches or quick gear changes.

Signs of Failure & What Happens If It Breaks

A worn or torn cushion can cause clunking on take-off, vibration at speed, and extra drivetrain lash. If ignored, the differential can shift under load, stressing mounts, bolts, CV joints, and prop shaft components.
